A 10-print folio
Untamed Nature has always pulled me away from civilization. To me, the wilderness is the mother of all living things; it is always true, and never trivial. There are few places on Earth that express honest beauty and natural power like Iceland.
My Icelandic project started in 1995 when I first visited the island. Since then I have returned about 15 times. I love Iceland so much that I don´t want to finish the project. I am frequently asked, "When will your Iceland book be published?" I still don´t know, since I want to have an excuse to keep on going there.
While I've explored this rough terrain with a 4-wheel drive vehicle, I have also spent about 65 hours taking aerial photos. The Icelandic landscape is extremely rich, textured, and complex when viewing it from the air. The ice rivers are fantastic; the complex flow patterns and colors are truly beyond belief.
