This color work is inspired by a collection of bird specimens from a university collection which are combined with field notes used as backgrounds for the still life photographs. The combination of colors from the birds and the textured paper from the notes makes for a graphic presentation that is a joy to behold.

In this LensWork Special Editions folio, Peter has selected his ten most popular images from the series for inclusion in this special set. Printed with Epson Ultrachrome inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag matte surfact paper (to match his originals), these colorful images bring to mind vintage 19th century biological catalogs from the scientists who first introduced us to the exotic world of birds.
