Enchantment with mountains has been a life-long passion for David Grant Best. So, too, has photography. Not surprisingly, combining these two pursuits has allowed David to produce a stunning body of photographic work in the high mountains that breathes the thin air, light, and inspiration of the lofty peaks he has scaled. We just posted a sneak preview of the contents for both LensWork #81 and LensWork Extended #81 on computer DVD — you can download the Current Issue Preview (7.7 mb) from our website.
Both editions feature portfolios by James P. Bourret, Mark J. Davis, and new work by LensWork alums Cole Thompson and Josef Hoflehner. Thompson's unique viewpoint is also highlighted in another LensWork Extended portfolio, as well as the stunning color work of Camille Seaman and a surprising color project from James P. Bourret.
